Loki Practicing for the Cat Show

Loki had a pretty busy weekend (especially for a cat) his monkey, Erin, has been working hard to practice his tricks in build up to this weekends cat show at the Universtiy of Guelph, Collage Royal. Loki was really nervous at the show, and while he was narrowly edged out of largest cat, but was met with Ooooos and Ahhhhhs. He didn't leave empty handed, coming home with both a runner up for best male, and a first place ribbon for best trick. While somewhat upset by the process, he has forgiven us, because he looooooves all the new toys he won, he isn't sure what to make of his ribbon. I will post more pictures, but here is the video of his trick:

I have to admit, I have never see a cat do a trick on command...

Just out of curiosity what did you use to edit the video together? Something mac-y like iLife I suppose?

And that is why he won :)

As for the software iMovie, this is my debut film, I've already informed Mr. Cronenberg that the title of first man of Canadian cinema will soon be mine.

Geoff pointed out that strangely, when people have a "good" cat, that cat is usually exhibiting dog-like behaviour. We heard that phrase a lot at the show... people would say "such-and-such cat is so friendly, he follows you around like a dog" or "my cat likes to walk on a leash like a dog" and so on. Poor ol' cats. I'm starting to admire the last contestant, which sort of flipped out and the owner & judge nearly lost their eyes. Now THAT'S a CAT!
