Lego Build – Death Star – Prebuild

Well I'm back again for a photo blog of the build of a somewhat epic Lego set.  This is mostly for my own amusement, but I have this avenue to share, so I will.

So for Christmas this year my lovely wife gave me the Death Star, which apparently is going out of production this year (for possible replacement with a  new Ultimate Collector Series version (UCS))  I apparently was talking about that just before the holidays, totally unaware of what she had got, and much to her consternation.

So without much ado, here begins my holiday project, the construction of the Death Star.

One epic sized box

Something for scale would have helped here, but the manual could hurt someone.

Inside the set was neatly broken down into sub-boxes, you know because each one has more parts than a normal Lego set.

There was also a Sith cat in the package, might just have been mine, not sure.

Loki Practicing for the Cat Show

Loki had a pretty busy weekend (especially for a cat) his monkey, Erin, has been working hard to practice his tricks in build up to this weekends cat show at the Universtiy of Guelph, Collage Royal. Loki was really nervous at the show, and while he was narrowly edged out of largest cat, but was met with Ooooos and Ahhhhhs. He didn't leave empty handed, coming home with both a runner up for best male, and a first place ribbon for best trick. While somewhat upset by the process, he has forgiven us, because he looooooves all the new toys he won, he isn't sure what to make of his ribbon. I will post more pictures, but here is the video of his trick:

Blogging more, on stupid things...

From Sleeping cat ...

So Loki has been the subject of much photography of late, so mostly when he is asleep, he is less curmudgeonly when asleep. I keep meaning to snap a picture of him in my night table. He can actually open the drawers himself, and frequently does so in the middle of the night. I have started to close the drawer with him curled up inside, but this just makes him purr louder. Weird cat...

Random Cat Picture

Here is Loki being furry, he pretty much does that all the time.

Erin has him trained to 'sit', 'attack', and 'shake', she is working on 'lie down', and if were are lucky 'do the dishes'
