Serenity

Trailer is out for Serenity, which for those of you who don't know is the Firefly movie. Great TV show by the way, never should have been cancelled, but it didn't fit with Fox's dumigraphics so out it went.

The trailer looks visual tantalizing, and the cast has already shown their mettle in the series, so I am looking forward to a great show. My favorite sound bite from the trailer had to be this conversation between Mal, and Wash.

Wash: "This is going to get pretty interesting."
Mal: "Define Interesting."
Wash: "Oh god, Oh god we are all going to die."

Anyways, I'm pretty hyped, and hopefully this makes the $$$ and Universal picks up its options for a second and third movie.

"NO! Participles, why must you dangle so! I am undone by the lax writing environment I hoped to create!"

To better understand the nature of my character, you must understand that I find this comic to be uproarious. While I only wish the utterances I pontificate were as evocative as this literary pearl; I cannot constrain my uninhibited critic of the selection of the word "create" from the vast lexicon English provides. Irrefutably "engenders" is a lexeme of superior distinction then the authors selection.

Ha!

Site update

Did a quick tweak to the links in the template on the way in this morning, added the Hawthorne Villager (as I am spending a bit more time there posting and reading.) I've mentioned it before, but since I go there often enough, I wanted a link to click, and in many ways this site is used as my personal bookmark collection. So there it is feel free to have a look, and get to know all the people who live in Mattamy's Hawthorn Village.

Very shortly I shall be one of them, two weeks and a day by my reakoning.

Milton Bus Route

I'm posting this so that it is online so I can link to it from some where else.

Still, I would like to explain if for no better reason then to have a post!

The area I am showing is a municipal plan for my subdivision, and in blue is the existing bus route, I would like to propose the bus be redirected slightly so that it does less doubling back on itself, thus servicing more homes. Since the bus is the direct route to the Go Train, and the Go Train is the major artery for Toronto bound folk.

I think the line in red is pretty fair, the number of houses on 4th line between Derry and Clark are not that great, nor are they without service they just need to walk a little farther, but you add seriously increase the convenince for a much greater number of people who live off Clark. I understand the reason the bus does not currently make that route is because Clark West of 4th is new, but I feel my suggested route was possible already in the minds of the Municipal transit authorities when they made the route map. Anyways, here it is in all its glory.

A . . . lot not ALOT

This is a pet peeve of mine, actually, it is a pet peeve of my Grade 8 core teacher. (In my junior high your core teacher thought most subjects, but you would rotate to other class for specialized stuff like Science, Art and Music.) I digress, 'alot' is not a word, in spite of the majority of the internet believing it is. I don't think this is me being anal, or a stickler. It's a really simple, small thing that isn't so complicated that it should be restricted to the realm of scholars, and English majors. A lot of people do it, but that doesn't make it right, it just makes them ignorant. So please, for the love of the language, and my sanity, don't do it, just don't.

This rant has be brought to you by percolating my brain through the sludge scraped from the bottom of the World of Warcraft forums, a cesspool of internet diarrhea.
