This story is interesting to me for two reasons, the almost editorial like statement that Apple stock "plunged" which is a bit of an exaggeration.
The second is that Blackberry isn't suing Apple for libel or slander, maybe that isn't something you can do if your competitor makes false claims about your product, but it seems like if it is a valid legal option, at least threatening to sue would be a better way to make Apple back off. Instead a strongly worded letter, implies to me they have an actual problem as well and are doing what they claim apple is doing, redirecting attention.
